Agency’s Results Recognized During 40th Annual Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony

Adams & Knight was awarded two Bell Awards and three Merit Awards by the Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest not-for-profit public relations trade organization, during its 40th Annual Bell Ringer Awards ceremony. More than 50 agencies, companies, and organizations from across New England were honored during the ceremony, held June 1, 2009 at the Boston Westin Waterfront.

“The Bell Ringer Awards recognize results, and Adams & Knight is dedicated to developing compelling public relations campaigns that generate the results our clients need to reach their business goals,” said Bill Knight, Principal of Adams & Knight. “We are honored to be recognized as one of the most effective public relations firms in the region.”

Two Bell Awards were presented to Adams & Knight, the first for a crisis communications campaign created for KBE Building Corp. and a second for an integrated public relations campaign developed for Girl Scouts of Connecticut.

Adams & Knight received a Merit Award for the “Keep Our Hearts in the Right Place” campaign developed for the Heart Center of Greater Waterbury, and two additional Merits for a KBE Building Corp. Corporate Social Responsibility Report, and the business-to-business event “Winning the Retirement Income Challenge,” designed for Jefferson National Insurance.

Adams & Knight Shines at 55th Annual Advertising Club of Connecticut Award Show

Agency Receives Most Gold Awards and Most Awards Overall

The Advertising Club of Connecticut awarded Adams & Knight five Gold Awards, the most of any agency, at their 55th Annual Awards Show, held May 20th at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, Connecticut. Adams & Knight also earned eight silver and nine bronze awards, receiving the most awards of the evening. More than 80 awards were given over 50 categories.

“We are honored this year, as we are each year, to be acknowledged by our industry peers for work we do that reaches across many industries, including healthcare, non-profit, and financial services,” said Jill Adams, principal of Adams & Knight. “Our agency is proud of the highly creative work we produce that stands out from the crowd and generates results for our clients.”

Adams & Knight’s award-winning work spanned a wide range of advertising categories, including consumer interactive, consumer posters, public service, television, promotional marketing, and collateral.

Adams & Knight won the prestigious top award for a multifaceted public relations campaign that rallied public support and saved The Heart Center of Greater Waterbury from imminent closure by the state. The entry was the only one that earned a perfect score from the nationwide judges, who evaluated each entry’s strategy, execution and results.

Record Number of Awards from American Marketing Association

Adams & Knight Wins Annual Billboard Competition

Adams & Knight took first place at The Advertising Club of Connecticut’s annual Out of Home Creative Competition, held February 26th at the Park Road Playhouse in West Hartford. This year’s outdoor billboard competition asked Connecticut advertising professionals to inspire state residents to reduce their carbon footprints.

Public Relations Society Awards Adams & Knight “Best in Show”

PRSA_2008 The Connecticut Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awarded Adams & Knight the prestigious “Best of Show” award for an integrated campaign it created for Renzulli Learning Systems. The agency also earned six Mercury Awards at the PRSA’s annual awards show.

The “Best in Show”—the PRSA’s top honor—is awarded to the best entries in both the tactical and campaign categories. Adams & Knight received “Best in Show” honors in the campaign category for the integrated campaign it created for Renzulli Learning. The campaign featured research, Web design, branding initiatives, and public relations strategy that helped successfully introduce the education software company’s product to school districts nationally.

As one judge said, “This is a near-perfect campaign in my opinion. Excellent!”

Adams & Knight received the most awards of the evening, taking home six Gold Mercury Awards and one Silver. The awards recognized the agency’s work in crisis communications, integrated campaigns, special events, video programs and bylined article placement. The agency garnered Gold Mercury awards for public relations campaigns developed for Travelers, Renzulli Learning, and Nassau’s Furniture as well as for work for Jefferson National Life Insurance and United Way of the Capital Area.

The agency received a Silver Mercury award for a video program it developed for United Way of the Capital Area as a part of the organization’s annual fundraising campaign.

“To have our work recognized and so highly commended by the PRSA and our peers is an honor,” said Gary Griffin, director of public relations for Adams & Knight. “We are constantly striving to develop inventive and effective public relations strategies that deliver quality results for our clients.”

The Mercury Awards recognize outstanding work in public relations, marketing, and communications. The awards honor strategic excellence, creativity, successful execution, and results.

Ad Club of Connecticut Awards Adams & Knight the “Gold Pen”

The Advertising Club of Connecticut awarded Adams & Knight with the prestigious “Gold Pen” for its work with the Girl Scouts of Connecticut at its 54th annual Award Show. Adams & Knight also won the most awards for the show, earning 29 additional awards in nearly every advertising category.
